The centre will allow us to expand our services further and create a flexible, welcoming, informal space that addresses health and wellbeing in its widest sense by using our non-clinical approach, whilst encouraging social interaction and addressing the growing concerns around people feeling isolated and lonely.  

 

The existing services we provide will continue and we will also develop some new services that help us reach more local people and address more effectively some of the issues that are prevalent in North Lanarkshire.

 

These include: -

 

• A volunteer led community café (vegetarian café with vegan options)

• Allotment project

• Healthy cookery classes

• Delivery of more social prescription programmes

• Development of more holistic therapies and Holistic therapy training academy

• Signposting service to other agencies e.g Routes to work, NLC Community Learning and Development, Carers organisations and other statutory, third sector agencies
